List of Universities in Jharkhand

Jharkhand is rich in cultural heritage which is manifested in the literature, music and folk dances of the region. The Universities of the Jharkhand engage the student community with the popular culture which connects the rich culture heritage of the state to the outside world and offers the aspiring students to establish themselves in the developing and fast evolving world without forgetting their dynamic customs and tradition.

The Universities cover the total spectrum of higher education in the state helping the state to join the main stream from surface level to psychological level. Academically the Universities of Jharkhand have advanced knowledge in the region.

The Universities of Jharkhand offer undergraduate, post-graduate as well as M. Phil and Ph. D courses in various disciplines like science, medicine, engineering, commerce and arts.

Jharkhand has five (5) universities including one deemed university: : Ranchi University & Birsa Agricultural University at Ranchi, Sidhhu Kanhu University at Dumka and Vinova Bhave University in Hazaribagh, and BIT Mesra Deemed University at Ranchi.
